Welcome to Serene
A short tour of this Astro theme — what it is for, what ships by default, and how to start making it yours.
Serene is an editorial blog theme for Astro. This site is the live demo: sample posts, projects, links, and pages so you can judge layout, motion, and content plumbing before you fork the repo.
What you are looking at
Pages are pre-rendered HTML. There is no client framework runtime. The only site-wide script is a small module for the theme toggle, reveal animations, search, and a few progressive enhancements. Without JavaScript the site still reads fine.
Design stays quiet on purpose: warm paper neutrals, one blue accent, hairline borders, and a shared radius scale. Motion is short and optional — view transitions, a circular dark-mode reveal, and scroll reveals all respect prefers-reduced-motion.
Reading is the product. Everything else is furniture.
